Teach and reinforce key comprehension skills.

Specific Skills Series for Reading exposes students to a variety of reading styles, using both fiction and non-fiction. The books often relate to other curricular areas and immerse students in current topics and other high-interest content.

Specific Skill Series for Reading use engaging reading selections and plenty of targeted practice exercises that appeal to students of different ages, interests, and ability levels. The addition of placement and assessment tools in print and on CD-ROM provide further indicators of student growth in reading comprehension.

This programme instils key comprehension skills through extensive practice in one skill area at a time. Combined with the assessment tools, it can reinforce those areas where a student requires additional practice.
