Information for Publishers

Please contact our Foreign Language Rights department if you wish to enquire about the availability of our titles. If the translation rights are available we will grant you a three-month option, which is valid from the date we send you the reading copy. Please be advised that translation rights can be sold only to registered publishing companies.

Foreign Rights Request Form

If you would like to be placed on our mailing list to receive information about our titles, please e-mail your company name, contact name, full address and e-mail address along with a list of the subject areas of interest to victoria_golding@mcgraw-hill.com

Information for Translators

It is our policy to contract directly with the foreign language publisher. The foreign language publisher will make its own arrangements with the translator as appropriate to complete a true and faithful translation or the original.

If you are interested in pursuing the idea of translating one of our titles, we make the following suggestions:
Find out which publishers are currently publishing in the subject area of the book.
Write a formal proposal to send to publishers with a description of the book.
Ask interested publishers to contact the Foreign Rights Department at Open University Press for an option on the language rights and a reading copy.

In order to assess a proposal to contract, the interested publisher should provide us with the information detailed on our Foreign Rights Request Form and provide a catalogue of their publishing list in the subject area.
