Online Learning Centres - how can they help me study?

Online Learning Centres content varies depending upon the book and subject you are studying from but here are some of the features you might find ... and did we mention you get FREE access to all of this when you buy a new textbook!

  • Chapter quizzes help you to assess your understanding of a subject and if you get the answers wrong, they direct you back to the relevant part of the textbook so you can swot up.
  • Video clips and case studies help to put theory into context so you understand why it's so important to learn all the nitty gritty details and how you can apply what you've learnt in the real world.
  • Links to carefully chosen websites make research on the web a much easier task ... your essays will be finished far quicker than if you trawl through a quirky search engine's results!
  • Access to NetTutor. Is a sticky problem causing you sleepless nights? e-mail NetTutor with your question and a tutor will give you guidance about how to solve it ... don't expect them to give you the answer on a plate though!
  • Access to current news articles and research papers through PowerWeb keep the text right up-to-date with developments.
  • Other features an OLC may contain include enhancement chapters that contain extra information so if you're particularly interested in a certain subject, there's more in-depth information at your finger tips. Having a hard time pronouncing certain scientific terms? Check out the Audio Glossary! Flashcards let you check your comprehension of words and terms.

Studying is never going to be the same again!
