Storyteller has a wealth of titles at every Book Band Level, making it ideal for developing children’s reading and writing skills simultaneously.

Key Skills:

• The books are ideal for guided reading and writing.
• They are also great for independent reading and writing.
• Suitable as take home readers.
• The writing cards are excellent for shared, interactive and guided writing.
• The non-fiction titles in particular, are good for children who are high-interest, lower ability.

Contents:

• There are 4 sets of cards to develop writing.
• 14 Levels of books which increase in challenge from Foundation (P1) throught to Year 6 (P7). (Click on the right to view the books at the different levels.)
• The 188 titles provide a wealth of resources and a range of genre and text types.
• Levels 1-10 are book banded.
• Teacher's Notes and Activities for Levels 1-10 are available on CD-ROM.
• Teacher's Notes and Activities for Levels 11-14 are available as printed cards.
• An Assessment Guide for selected titles in the Early Levels.

Classroom Management:
By allowing teachers to photocopy pages or sections of the books, Storyteller Teacher’s Guides provide numerous activity suggestions which are based around the children performing key tasks whilst using the books e.g. matching labels to pictures, or identifying certain words in the text. These cards and books are suitable for children who need to extend their reading ability. The peep holes, die cuts and novelty features hold their attention whilst they interact with the text and pictures to build the skills they need for reading.
