A detailed look at Sounds Great Two!

Each title begins with a unique story. An engaging text features the particular consonant blends and/or vowel sounds that will be the focus of the activities that follow the story.

1. In Activity 1, children identify words that have the same phonemes.

2. Activity 2 reinforces listening skills by hearing similar-sounding words.

 

3. Activity 3 combines auditory and visual skills.

4. Activity 4 has a focus on rhyme.

5. Activity 5 is a listening activity designed to reinforce rhyming skills.

6. In Activity 6 children spell words with blends and/or long vowels. Two stages of word-building for each word (e.g. s-p-ot; s-p-o-t).
