Maths Tester has been designed to support the medium term assessment process as required by the National Numeracy Strategy. The programme provides the teacher with an enormous range of assessment questions (over 12,000 in total) for each of the six strands of the National Numeracy Strategy.
The programme is provided with a simple User Guide that provides the teacher with clear instructions. There is also additional advice given on its use. All of the sections on the CD ROM are clearly marked and the programme provides plenty of helpful prompts and clearly marked hyperlinks.
The programme enables the teacher to generate customised assessment worksheets which can either be photocopied for the children or used orally. The questions which are generated are matched to the expected outcomes for the given Year Group and are related to the Key Objectives for the pupils. The teacher is able to select the appropriate range of questions for the children in their class. A total of ten questions can be placed on each worksheet.
The programme is easy to navigate through and has been produced to a high standard. It is simple and easy to produce the worksheets.
