More information

This book provides an overview of theory and practice in online learning and teaching for higher education. It provides a critique of on line learning for all those working in learning and teaching in a higher education setting. It examines the strengths and weaknesses of the online approach in the context of the internet age and global higher education. Consideration is given not only to changes to distant learning, but also how online learning is affecting mainstream mass higher education. Practical examples are included, allowing the reader to adapt and develop online learning strategies that are directly relevant to their own context.

Marketing
The Marketing Game 3/e created by Charlotte Mason & William Perreault Jr
Format: Player's manual and CD
ISBN: 0071150463
Order a lecturer copy of the Professor's pack (ISBN 0072514574)

The Marketing Game is a competitive marketing strategy simulation. Students assume responsibility for developing a firm's marketing strategy. A set of reports (in the student text) set the stage with realistic descriptions of the firm's current situation, the nature of the market and competition it faces, and the responsibilities of the marketing manager. The marketing plan is submitted to the instructor and, along with plans submitted by competing firms, is processed by The Marketing Game simulation software. The simulation produces reports for the instructor that summarize and diagnose the performance of each firm.

The Instructor's Manual also provides everything that the instructor might want to use the game, whether it's supplementary objective test questions, a PowerPoint slide show, ideas for projects, or technical explanations of how the simulation model works. The basic philosophy is simple: it's the instructor's course, and the game is designed to make it easy for the instructor to do things his or her own way. Find out more ...
