PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
for trade, professional & reference books

McGraw-Hill is a highly-respected and successful publishing imprint throughout the world. The European-based Division of the company has embarked on an ambitious strategy to enhance its competitive strength in the publishing, marketing, selling and distribution of higher education products and services.

A core element of this publishing strategy is our investment in the development of high quality, market-driven textbooks, and to support these with related products in appropriate print, electronic and web-based media formats. Our principal target markets are introductory and intermediate level undergraduate courses in business & economics and computing & IT. We will also give active consideration to proposals for more advanced level courses where the size and characteristics of the target market would make the publication viable.

We also publish for the trade, professional and reference market in the same subject areas.

We therefore invite you to submit a proposal based upon our guidelines to the relevant Editorial Contact at McGraw-Hill, either by e-mail or by post. Our subject-based Editors will respond swiftly to all proposals, providing you with an initial assessment of its market potential. Our Editors will be very pleased to advise you further, or to answer any queries you might have, on the preparation of your proposal.
